Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture
Rebecca Quin* is a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist Her qualifications include; A Bachelor of Health Science in Chinese medicine, Cosmetic acupuncture, Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 Certificates, Cert III in fitness and group exercise and a Mat Pilates certificate. She believes in inspiring and educating her clients about how they can achieve the best for their health and wellbeing, (through Chinese medicine, good lifestyle, diet and exercise) thus empowering them to make good choices towards becoming the best they can be.
Being a fully qualified Chinese Medicine practitioner, Rebecca is a member of AACMA and is registered with The Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA). In accordance with the registration standards of the CMBA, all registered Chinese medicine practitioners are obliged to meet standards of safety, efficacy.and ethical practice.
Her modalities include; Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Massage, Moxibustion, Gua Sha, Tai Chi/Qi Gong and Chinese Medicine nutritional advice.
Her approach to treatment is as one who understands that healing is a collaborative process between the practitioner and patient. She considers all aspects of an individual’s life (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual) in formulating an initial treatment and ongoing treatment plan.
A one hour treatment with Rebecca includes TCM diagnosis (tongue and pulse), massage, cupping, (Gua Sha or moxa if required), Acupuncture and dietary/ lifestyle advice. A personalised herbal prescription will also be prepared for you if required.
Also a master trainer for ChiBall world, Rebecca teaches ChiBall®, Dance of the Dragon®, Energy Moves, Pilates and meditation.
ChiBall is a mind-body exercise and wellness program that is based on the principles of traditional Chinese Medicine. A ChiBall class combines the modalities of Tai Chi-Qi Gong, Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Feldenkrais and Relaxation/Meditation. The class incorporates the use of a small hand held ball for focus, co-ordination, balance and self-massage during the class. The ball comes in ten different colours and aromas thus incorporating colour therapy and aromatherapy which personalise each individual’s experience of the class.
She currently holds classes on a Monday and Friday at the Sandybeach Community Centre, 2 Sims St, Sandringham.
